Cryogenic gas cleaning In gas cleaning and production of liquid biogas (LBG), Scandinavian GtS uses the technology of tomorrow. The cryogenic technology takes us a huge leap forward to meet the needs of society: Lower energy consumption, heat recovery, lower methane losses and removal of CO2 and siloxanes. Our technology has the ability to upgrade “dirty” landfill gas to completely clean LBG or natural gas quality CBG. The methane losses of the cryogenic process are only a fraction of those of other technologies and the energy consumption is around half. In particular, producing liquid biogas give energy savings in the entire production and distribution chain, illustrated below.
